Basic Metabolic Profile

Advanced Thyroid Function

Thyroid disorders are common and symptoms are varied - blood tests are the most accurate way to diagnose and manage these conditions.

Symptoms of an underactive thyroid include dry skin, weight gain, increased sensitivity to cold, constipation, fatigue, muscle weakness, hoarseness, and a slowed heart rate.

Symptoms of an overactive thyroid include excessive sweating, tremor, restlessness or anxiety, heat intolerance, diarrhoea, weight loss, and a rapid heat rate.

It is important to remember that your symptoms and how you feel are an important part of the diagnosis so speak with a GP if you are concerned about thyroid symptoms.
