Referrals

• A referral can be provided for a scan by a doctor via online consultation once the doctor has gathered all the appropriate information. Please book a video consultation with one of our doctors here.
  • Please note, for many radiology referrals the information required may often need to be gathered from a face-to-face consultation and examination.
  • If this is deemed to be necessary by the consulting doctor, then you may be signposted to the relevant healthcare professional to have an examination and referral as appropriate. The main reason for this is that any scan that is taken needs to be interpreted by a Radiologist and a report is provided to the referring doctor. If there is no clinical information from an exam it is difficult to guide the radiologist who is reading the scan and as a result the reporting may not be as focused. Also, information gathered from an examination may guide the referring doctor as to what the appropriate imaging should be.
